The “Heritage Days” Ukrainian Orthodox Church Camp held 17 - 19 July at St. Michael’s in Woonsocket was a great success.  Activities included morning prayer, sing-a-longs, Ukrainian folk dancing, pysanki, crafts, baking prosphora, a “teaching Liturgy”, and plenty of play time.  The twelve children who participated were taught, supported, mentored, and supervised by ten adults (to include a nurse and several certified teachers).   We all came out of the experience with a deeper appreciation for our heritage, the love of Christ, and how blessed we are to have such beautiful children and youth.  Additional plans for next year include separate age tracks for crafts, dancing, and classes; a field trip; camp t-shirts; and encouraging broader participation from the children and youth from our growing parish and the surrounding community.  For more pictures, please visit our website, www.stmichaeluoc.org.
